I just got the call: I'm employed!! I'm going to be working for Columbia College! It sounds like a great place to work. The people seem really nice, plus I'm going to get great benefits. Yay for having a job! I'm starting on the 6th. I'm really relieved. When I got the call, I had just gotten back from the vet where I dropped almost $50 on Mao.
In other news, I got new chicken feed today. The chicks are almost to egg laying age, so they need a food with a different nutritional balance. I went to a little feed store on the edge of town to pick up a bag. I paid inside and they guy at the register told me that someone would take it out to my car for me. So, I went outside to open my trunk. At about the same time, a confused looking guy came out carrying a sack of feed. When he saw no one else was in the parking lot except for me, he came up and asked if the feed was for me. When I said yes, he still looked confused and just kind of looked at me for a moment before setting it in the trunk. I said thank you, and he just kind of looked at me, then said I was welcome. I guess I don't look like the typical farm customer, especially with my pink t-shirt and blue skull sneakers on.
